Event Calendar

Kidfest was a soaring success! The three-hour celebration brought in approximately 1,000 attendees to Friendship Park. The high-flying zip line and the bungee trampoline provided guests hours of thrilling entertainment, while Epic DJ, Ballet Folklorico, Steppin Out, and Take 5 Dance kept the excitement and energy high as they performed. Also, Phoenix Children’s Hospital provided 100 free bike helmets to youth of all ages!

This event was also a positive platform to showcase several Avondale services to the next generation of our community.  Police, Fire, Public Works, Neighborhood Family Services, Development & Engineering, and Parks and Recreation provided onsite experiences. A special thank you to Mayor Weise, Vice Mayor Malone, and Council Member Conde for welcoming the community to a beautiful day in the park.
