The Cinco de Mayo inspired street festival saw approximately 3,000 community members visit Western Avenue on Saturday, May 1st. Guests were greeted with an authentic event that showcased culture, cuisine and entertainment. Performances by Ballet Folklorico Esperanza, Somos Charros y Cantamos, and Mariachi Mexico Nuevo, were emceed by El Parientito. Lucha Libre En Vivo was a smashing hit. Mayor Weise, Council Member Nielson and Council Member Kilgore welcomed guests and thanked partners from the Stage.
Partners supporting Avondale Fiesta included Crescent Crown Distributing, Radio La Indiscreta 106.7 FM, Tacos La K’Lera, Maryconecta, and West Valley View.
